http://investment-blog.net/

Investment-blog.net provide high-value, complementary financial content. This is different from other finance blog because it focuses on opinion and analysis rather than news, and is primarily about the overview of the market and the existing opportunities for investors, and it describes our personal approach to stock picking and portfolio management rather than simply recommending stocks. In a difficult time like this, my blog will primarily provide tips to survive the recession and invest safely.

SR-71 Model, The coolest plane!

From InvestmentWatch, 2 year ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

The coolest plane! I actually got to watch one plane fly very low speed, low altitude - just over our heads while it made its final turns for show before landing the last time at WPAFB in Ohio. Yep - its last minutes in the air ! It is now a museum piece at the Air Force Museum. I saw it up close in the hanger bay as they were removing the plane’s secret gear and preping it for the museum. It took a while… and even on the tarmac, it is an impressive sight up close ! Was really... Read more

Also hit hard: Wyoming, where incomes fell 3.9%. Incomes stayed flat in two states and rose in six and the District of Columbia. West Virginia had the best showing with a 2.1% increase. In Maine, Kentucky and Hawaii, increased government benefits, such as... Read more

The jobs report is nothing but the same noise we hear from week to week and it is so weak to begin with no one believes it. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/03/23/fox-news-poll-say-economy-collapse/ Opinions on the job Obama has done is really bad, even among his own democrats. The opinion of Congress is even worse. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/congressional_job_approval-903.html Bottom line is, the US is not coming out of a depression or recession, it is actually going... It’s a bad idea to use a debit card for online shopping because you don’t have the same federal protections that you get with a credit card. Debit cards governed by Regulation E - Electronic Fund transfers Act Credit card governed by Fair Credit Billing Act Also, when your debit card is compromised, you can lose all the money in your account. I live with a partner so rent isn’t an issue but I had to find affordable medical insurance. I have paid for the insurance with my unemployment. My benefits have already been extended and are about to expire soon. I have a medical condition and I don’t know how I’m going to be able to manage it without insurance coverage so finding employment that pays enough to cover my monthly premium is a priority for me. This year I went to the local senior center where they had volunteers... Read more

I worked around college students for several years and can see the erosion up close and personal.

From InvestmentWatch, 2 year ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

Student loans today include living expenses. That was certainly not true years ago when I went to college. The interest on those loans needs to be paid each year, which from what I see most parents are doing the paying. That was not true years ago either, because most parents didn’t have any extra money since they had more mouths at home to feed. Bush’s goal to have more people become homeowners was a flawed goal. It meant nothing when they didn’t have the resources to stay in... Read more

1) School district budget deficit balloons to $115 million (Alabama) “Two months ago, the DeKalb County School System feared it would need to balance a budget deficit next year of more than $50 million. Then things got worse. Much worse. That deficit shot to $88 million last month after district officials learned projected property tax revenues were overstated. As the district scrambled to make up the difference, former Superintendent Crawford Lewis resigned and his replacement,... Read more

The U.S. stock market has seen a year-long rally.

From InvestmentWatch, 2 year ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

Gains in the major averages now stand in the 70% range or higher. The longer it lasted and the higher it climbed, the more people have believed it must be “for real.” But of course, it was certain to be this way. It’s common for stocks to rally strongly after a big decline, especially one as immense as the decline of 2007-2008. And the flip side of more people believing in the rally is that fewer and fewer ask hard questions. Yet no rally of any size — and for that... Read more
